A Blessing on Your Ballot

A Blessing for the Ballot
Dear sister,
May your vote be blessed.
May your ballot become a powerful expression of your sovereignty. May your hands be steady, your passage be safe, and your voice be heard.
You have been screaming into the void, and I need you to understand something.
The void has been listening.
Your cries have been heard. Your fears have been registered. Your grief has entered the historical record.
Every injustice you have witnessed, every freedom you have watched become negotiable, every threat you have carried in your body has brought you to this moment.
Now your vote must be counted.
Remember the women who came before you. The ones who organized in secret, marched through hostile streets, endured imprisonment, and demanded political personhood in a world that preferred their obedience.
Remember the women who were excluded even after victory had been declared. The women whose race, poverty, citizenship, and circumstances kept the ballot out of reach long after others had secured it.
Remember that the right to vote was never bestowed upon women as an act of generosity.
It was wrestled from power.
There is something sacred about a woman exercising authority over her own life.
There is something profoundly sacred about refusing to surrender that authority to fear.
So may your ballot carry the weight of your convictions and the clarity of your conscience.
May no intimidation silence you.
May no cruelty convince you that your participation is meaningless.
May no manufactured despair persuade you that the future has already been decided.
History is watching.
The women who came before us are watching through the freedoms they fought to secure.
The generations who will inherit what we leave behind are waiting for us to take our place in the story.
And Goddess stands with you.
Not as a promise that everything will be made right, but as a reminder that your dignity was never anyone else’s to grant.
You belong to yourself.
Your conscience belongs to you.
Your voice belongs to you.
May your vote be cast freely. May it be counted faithfully. May your sovereignty remain your own.
