Reading Time: 4 minutes Before the 2016 Presidential election, candidate Trump promoted his slogan to “Make America Great Again.” His current demeanor of insulting individuals, alienating allies; and, supplicating himself to outlandish strongmen makes me rethink his slogan as “Make America Grate Again.” For a man who never met an adverb he doesn’t adore, I “strongly” recommend this change.
I put my faith in our democratic ideals and the vast bedrock population across this country. There is much to do in this experiment we call “democracy,” then again “democracy” isn’t for the faint of heart, just visit Arlington Cemetery.

I sent this person news stories and articles from more than 25 separate news sources, including Miltary.com and The Bush Foundation website. None of it landed. Don’t judge me for my back-ally comment fight with an idiot. I said all the things you wish you could a lot of the time. You can thank me later.
It ended when my right wing, wingnut “friend” started repeatedly telling me I was ignorant. I enlisted the help of family members to assist me in causing him a heart attack after he expressed he was very angry multiple times and suggested I was causing him a severe headache. The last comment exchanged was from my sister who boldly told him he didn’t want to get in an IQ competition with me – actually, it stopped when my child threw up a stop sign emoticon at the bottom of the comments.

Reading Time: 4 minutes I can’t imagine how miserable Melania Trump is right now. Even Michelle Obama referred to living in the White House as being in a very nice prison. However, Michelle Obama was there because she loved her husband. There was a strong sense they made decisions about their lives together and there were in it together with all of us. Melania isn’t in this with anyone. She’s in that prison alone and it’s probably a nightmare.
Which is exactly how many of us feel right now.
This has to be a nightmare and we just want to wake up. But we can’t, and neither can Melania.

While Iran’s adult leaders are trying to smooth the waters by saying the deal will go on without the U.S., it’s not much of a deal without us. Reading Time: 4 minutes The pseudo-moral outcry from the right that Trump’s marriage should be off-limits is insane. Trump handed over his moral supremacy long before that debate. However, on that night, when he created a moment in time that could only be made for TV, by marching those women into that debate hall, he took the moral high ground for defending him away from all his supporters. As they continue to beat that drum at best they look out of touch and hypocritical. At worst they seem unhinged and desperate.
