I’d Rather Be in a Mosh Pit than a Boardroom

Reading Time: 4 minutes In a mosh pit, even if I was normally the ONLY person of colour in the entire event — there was great good natured joshing, smiling, laughing, and general politeness over all the boisterousness. I was part of a big party, I was seen. Many of us there felt like misfits in our own way compared to mainstream culture, regardless of our colour, gender or background. And therefore, we all connected.

Maybe a huge overgeneralization, but it is what it is.

It’s often about giving something up when chances are what you really need is more. The biggest epidemic we have as a society is chronically underfed and uninspired souls.

There is Alchemy in the Details

Doing the non-essential provides fuel. Doing things that are important to you, but not necessary makes doing the critical tasks feel less like work.

Without the beauty of the non-essential life starts to look and feel very black and white. It loses its juiciness, and without that juice, you lose inspiration, and without inspiration, energy starts running low fast.

Despite What You See in the News – Life is Good.

Reading Time: 3 minutes Life is good because when we see bad leadership, we must hear our soul’s clarion call for good leadership. Beloveds, humans want good leadership. It is our birthright. I am grateful for #45 (whose name shall NEVER be muttered) because he brings out the collective shadow side of this country. The invisibility that racism yields, the greed capitalism exploits, the abuse of power that patriarchy unveils, and the nationalism that breeds ethnocentrism has forever been altered because he gave us this great gift by bringing it out in the open, forcing us to look at ourselves as well as the culture that we live in.
