Militia attacks targeting American forces and US interests in the Middle East, such as Saudi oil fields or the Strait of Hormuz. A large-scale cyberattack that could hurt the world oil market and impact the presidential election in November. And possibly a years-long effort to assassinate high-level US government targets.

Experts say these are some of the ways Tehran might further retaliate for the US killing of military leader Qassem Soleimani. Abdollah Araghi, a senior Iranian military commander, said Thursday — just two days after Iran attacked two US military sites in Iraq — that the country will exact a “harsher revenge soon.”

Pelosi says she will submit Trump impeachment articles to Senate

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she will advance legislation next week that will formally trigger a trial.

US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Friday announced that she will advance legislation next week that would formally trigger a Senate impeachment trial for President Donald Trump.

The House on December 18 passed two articles of impeachment – abuse of power and obstruction of Congress – against the Republican president.

“I have asked Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler to be prepared to bring to the [House] floor next week a resolution to appoint managers and transmit articles of impeachment to the Senate,” Pelosi said in a statement.
